In the last week of his life, Sergeant Shachar Fridman wrote a long love letter to his partner, Noga, in a red notebook full of dense handwriting over twenty pages. Noga received the notebook only after his passing, and as she recounts: "He simply left me the greatest gift one can receive." The notebook became a legacy of love and inspired a song performed by Marina Maximilian Blumin, as part of a project by Galatz and Galgalatz.
“How is it that war makes me write”
The lyrics were written by Shachar in a journal he kept in Gaza – words filled with love, longing, and passion for life. As part of the project “Seven Songs in October,” the notebook reached Marina Maximilian, who composed and performed the song, giving the words new life.

Friends and acquaintances from all years came to share memories, videos from Gaza were screened, and a significant commemoration took place to continue preserving his legacy.
